About The Band....
As another band once said about us, when we started as a band, Emmerdale Farm was an allotment! A few members have come and gone along the way; however three of the original line up still remain to ensure that the overall goal of playing up tempo, popular and hopefully innovative covers still stands.

This is a hobby for us, but its one we take very seriously. In fact we take it as seriously as those old couples you see jiving in weddings! Now that's serious!!

We're a four and a half piece outfit, (more on that later!)

This consists of Drums, Guitar, Bass and a Stand-Alone singer with Backing Vocals added by the Guitarist and Bassist.

What do you mean by a Four and a half Piece Band?
Ok: Up until January 2009, we were a five piece band, with keyboards. Our Keyboard man then decided he didn't want to do live gigs anymore. We needed a replacement, but couldn't find anyone.

So to overcome this problem, we recorded all his keyboard parts and now use them as a backing track. It's worked really well and we still use him to record new songs, but we also have a go at this ourselves now, adding our own keyboards and a second guitar here n there to fill out songs etc etc. So he's in the band, but he's not!

We've always been a bit old fashioned about backing tracks, swearing we would never use them. But we have had to adapt to survive. We are however reassured that all our backing tracks are created by us, and not downloaded from the Internet.

What Sort of Band Are you?
We play a wide variety of songs which appeal to the 18 - 60 age bracket. We adapt the set to suit the audience, whether it's a sweaty rock pub or a posh wedding do'! In the main though its high energy Pop/Rock music.... from Lady Ga Ga to Metallica!

What else Can You Offer?
We can also provide a DJ "Disco" set before, between and after our sets. We do this off a laptop using legitimately downloaded MP3s. This makes us the option for weddings and parties as all you need to do is book us and thats your entire evening sorted. We started doing this as many venues don't have the space to accommodate a band and a DJ.

What about a PA system?
We have a fully active 4.5 k PA, consisting of two Mackie 18 inch bins , which are 1000 watts a piece. Then on to complement these we have two Mackie 1232 Active Speakers that push out the remaining 2.5k watts. These can be used without the bass bins in smaller venues
This is all connected to a 16 channel mixing desk and the resulting sound is immense!!
          

And Lights?
Ohh yes, we have loads of these! Our light show starts with some basic cans to light us in small venues and goes up to as many as 8 Par 64 cans, 8 Par 56 cans and 8 Par 36 spots on large "proper" stages. These are further complemented by smoke and where safe and appropriate, Pyros!
On a decent size stage, this light show is very impressive!

So to summarise...

This is a band for all seasons!

Song wise, we can adapt to play for whatever the event

Gear wise, we can play in pubs as small as your living room (almost) or to larger venues.
