What do you do in the band?
I’m the side man – bass and some incidental vox. I also sort out the majority of the Gear maintenance/repairs.

Briefly, what gear do you use?
Gibson Thunderbird and a 300 Watt,  old Trace Elliot amp

Your favorite songs that the band cover?
Can’t really pin down a favorite, anything that gets a reaction so depends on venue
But If I had to choose then any of the U2 or Killers songs.

Your favorite song of all time?
Stand By Me – John Lennon version

Your Musical influences?
Probably Rolling Stones , then 3 minute pop such as Slade, Sweet T.Rex

Which Bass Players do you admire most?
Any player who can play and sing such as the great Phil Lynnot -  now that’s a skill

What's the best thing about being in the Polar Bears?
Being out every weekend

And the worst?
Being out EVERY weekend!

O’Neils Cardiff , with Chip Alley after of course!!

What's the best or most memorable gig you ever did with the Polar Bears?
There’s been some cracking gigs the last few years but the most memorable was my first in front of a full Bridgend Rec who had all paid good money to see this band!
I was cacking myself but we had a brilliant night with a full dance floor from start to finish.

And the most forgettable?
99% of our gigs are great because fortunately at this stage we can pick and choose to a certain degree, but some gigs on a wet Sunday afternoon are just simply not worth doing. They’re just full of “roiding” lads who scare all the ladies away by staring at each other, playfighting and showing off their musclses and tatts! I can do without those!

What's your proudest moment so far?
My daughter is still young enough to think its quite cool having a Dad in a band, so I’ll milk that for as long as it’ll last for the moment.

And your most embarrassing moment?
Can’t really think of one personally but every time Green tries to jump and land in time to a beat and fails miserably, every time! I suppose that’s embarrassment by association.
